#1 Pray
#2 Read the scripture and think about it (meditate). Ask the Holy Spirit to bring things to your mind.
Now to #3…using your Bible. It is never smart to just pull one verse out of the Bible without reading the verses around it. Looking at the words around our verse gives us the big picture of what God means. This is called reading in context. If we read in context, we have a better understanding of how to use God’s Word in our lives. Here is our assignment: Pray and read 1 Peter 3:8-13. Read it again. Did anything add to your understanding of our particular verse? Verse 10? Blog about it!

I have learned a lot from these verses - like when it says in verse 9 "not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead". These verses tell me not to get angry at someone when they get angry at me. It also reminds me of verse 10 when it says about keeping your toung from evil." Verse 9 and versw 10 realate to eachother because when some one gets angry at you you get angry back and thats what it says in verse 9 but when you get angry you often use ugly words and thats what it says in verse 10. So we all can realate to these verse.
sorry about the spelling and the typos
What I think about these verses is basicly the same thing abbie is saing, to know we can go to God with any problem we have (such as sin)... it's nice to know he will be listning.
